For I dipped into the future
far as human eye could see,
saw the vision of the world
and all the wonder that would be...
So let us dip into the future...

I began to have an idea of my life
not as the slow shaping of achievement
to fit my preconceived purposes,
but as the gradual discovery and growth
of a purpose which i did not know...

November 17 in Thessaloniki

This year the riot for the events that took place at 17/11/73 was really full of people wanting to express their disatisfaction about the goverment's politic. All these people went down to the streets to disapprove the way the goverment celebrate this aniversary.Because this is not an event only to be celebrated by fests this is an event that must be kept in all people's minds to remind them that when we are all united fighting for a noble cause no dictatorship, no goverment, no police in the world can stop us!
Police officers took many person to the police station. One of these persons was beaten to death by some police officers and told us that the person died from drugs.
This is the way that our goverment celebrates 17/11/73.

Imagination

Imagination
sets the spirit free,
Into distant lands
of fantasy,
Close your eyes and
you will see,
Within your mind there
lies the key...

WHITE DOVE

Music:Presser, Adamis, Rudolf Schenker
Lyrics:Klaus Meine
(4:18)

A place without a name
Under a burning sky
There's no milk and honey here
In the land of God
Someone holds a sign
It says we are human, too
And while the sun goes down
The world goes by

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

Waves, big like a house
They're stranded on a piece of wood
To leave it all behind
To start again
But instead of a new life
All they find is a door that's closed
And they keep looking for
A place called home

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

Na-na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na

Can anyone tell me why (can anyone tell me why)
The children of the world (children of the world)
Have to pay the price (pay the price)

And now you're telling me
You've seen it all before
I know that's right but still
It breaks my heart
Well, the golden lamb we've sent
Makes us feel better now
But you know it's just a drop
In a sea of tears

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

Na-na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na

PICTURES OF RIOTING IN FRANCE

On the 27th October a riot in the suburbs of Paris broke out. In the riot participated mainly young people btween the ages of 17 and 25 who came from
Frances's ex-colonies.The French government tried to deal with the riot with
arrests and other security measures, which may limit the riots now, but definitely won't solve the problems of the immigrants. The measures that would have an effect on the poor conditions in which these people live includea reduction in unemployment and poverty. Only then will the real problem be solved and other such outbreaks avoided.

What A Wonderfull World Lyrics

Artist: Louis Armstrong Lyrics
Song: What A Wonderfull World Lyrics

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

some more lyrics!!!!

A Fairy Tale of New York by The Pogues

It was Christmas Eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, won't see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain tune
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you

Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
I've got a feeling
This year's for me and you
So happy Christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true

They've got cars big as bars
They've got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
It's no place for the old
When you first took my hand
On a cold Christmas Eve
You promised me
Broadway was waiting for me

You were handsome
You were pretty
Queen of New York City
When the band finished playing
They howled out for more
Sinatra was swinging,
All the drunks they were singing
We kissed on a corner
Then danced through the night

(chorus)
The boys of the NYPD choir
Still singing "Galway Bay"
And the bells were ringing out
For Christmas day

You're a bum
You're a punk
You're an old slut on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag, you maggot
You cheap lousy faggot
Happy Christmas your arse
I pray God it's our last

(chorus)

I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Can't make it all alone
I've built my dreams around you

(chorus)A FAIRY TALE OF NEW

The old city

Well, our city used to be a little bit different 100 years ago.First of all the roads were totally different, they were smaller and there wasn’t so much traffic.People used to move by tramcar, by railroad or on foot neither the bus or the car that the most prefer nowdays. Also, the city was smaller. Many places that are habited now, then were deserted. The old city, began from the port and finished where the university is now,and it was surrounded by high walls.Today Thessaloniki is the second biggest city in Greece with the most famous commercial port in southern Balkans. Although , we shouldn’t be worried. We still live in the most beautiful city in eastern hemisphere

something to think about

Russians by Sting

In Europe and America there's a growing feeling of
hysteria
Conditioned to respond to all the threats
In the rhetorical speeches of the Soviets
Mister Krushchev said, 'We will bury you'
I don't subscribe to this point of view
It'd be such an ignorant thing to do
If the Russians love their children too

How can I save my little boy
From Oppenheimer's deadly toy?
There is no monopoly on common sense
On either side of the political fence
We share the same biology
Regardless of ideology
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russians love their children too

There is no historical precedent to put
Words in the mouth of the president
There's no such thing as a winnable war
It's a lie we don't believe anymore
Mister Reagan says 'We will protect you'
I don't subscribe to this point of view
Believe me when I say to you
I hope the Russians love their children too
We share the same biology
Regardless of ideology
What might save us, me and you
Is if the Russians love their children too

1 When do you think the song was written ?
2 What do you think it is about ?
3 How has the world changed since then?
